About
The McElhinney Wakeboard School has been teaching and coaching wakeboarding in the Austin / San Antonio area since 1991. Expert coaching is provided by Pat McElhinney and Matt Strom. Pat has held many national and world titles and has been profiled in Wakeboard Magazine as one of wakeboarding's top instructors.
Training takes place on the calm, clear waters of Lake Placid, behind a top-of-the line MasterCraft. The McElhinney Wakeboard School has a maximum of four students in the boat during each session, so that each rider gets individualized instruction and plenty of time on the water. They specialize in quality instruction and water time. You are in the boat either learning or riding. All ages and all levels of riding, from beginner to pro, are welcome.
Wakeboarders at the McElhinney Wakeboard School have a choice of half-day training, full day training or getting fully immersed in a 3 day camp.
Students are welcome to bring their own gear or select a board and bindings from the well-stocked pro shop. McElhinney features boards from CWB and Hyperlite.
