About
Manistee Adventures offers family-oriented canoe, kayak, SUP and tube trips on the lower section of the Big Manistee River. The Big Manistee River is designated a Wild and Scenic River. It is an excellent river for beginner and intermediate paddlers, and families with children. It is characterized by gentle currents, sparkling water, and sandbars perfect for swimming.
The upper section of the Manistee River is excellent for intermediate to advanced paddlers wishing for a more challenging adventure. It is characterized by shallow, fast water; obstacles such as trees and limbs and log jambs; and sharp turns. Some sections are designated class 3 rapids because of the obstacles. The lower section from the weir down is a more gentle trip, not as fast or technical, and appropriate for paddlers and tubers with some experience.
We offer both short and longer term rentals including free delivery (within 15 miles of city limits.) Stop by at one of our locations or if you prefer, we can deliver them right to where you are staying for an overnight, weekend or full week rental.Additional details
