About
Five Season Ski Team is a nonprofit waterski club that provides entertainment and education in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We host three learn to ski events during the summer, at our show site next to Ellis Park. We’ll provide the boats, skis, ropes, life jacket, dock, and water – all you need a swim suit (and a towel), and a parent or guardian (if you’re under 18)! Please contact us to reserve a slot at the clinic. Come discover how to ski or learn some new tricks!

Each year new members learn dock starts, water ballet, pyramids, doubles, trios, jumping, barefooting, and the other essential show skiing skills. Many of our active ‘show skiers’ are not skiers at all. Equipment personnel, dock director, sound crew, announcer, boat crews, and numerous other positions provide challenging and rewarding opportunities for those who enjoy being involved, without getting wet. It is amazing how fast members learn and enjoy their skills.
Recreational and family skiers enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the club, while being exposed to a wide variety of skiing skills, boats and boat driving skills, and the opportunity to sample ski equipment of all types. Since all of our members enjoy skiing ‘just for fun’ this is perhaps the most important aspect of the club. The club provides boats, knowledge, skis and other equipment to our regularly scheduled practices and ski schools. The club owns two safety boats, and four tow-boats. Members need only supply a life jacket and enthusiasm. Members and skiers range in age from 5 to 65 years old, there are no age limitations. The clubs current membership is approximately one hundred people.
