About
Fernwood Cove is a premier overnight camp for girls in Maine with a focus on age-appropriate skill development and personal growth. An intentional program, inclusive community, and supportive staff creates a unique opportunity for girls ages 7-15 and teens ages 16-18. Fernwood Cove is more than a girls’ summer camp, it’s more than an experience.
We are Maine’s first half-season all girls’ sleep away summer camp where girls gain valuable 21st Century Skills through our traditional 3 ½ week residential camp program. Communication, collaboration, and creative thinking are integrated into bunk life and over sixty instructional activities.
The Fernwood Cove waterfront provides a beautiful and safe environment for campers to each of the waterfront activities Fernwood Cove has to offer. Campers are able to enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, stand up paddling, kayaking, crew, canoeing, and swimming in the clean, quiet waters of Island Pond.
